Indonesia’s economy grew by 6.2 percent in 2012 and is projected to remain relatively robust throughout 2013. GDP growth in the first quarter of 2013 stood at 6.02 percent However, analysts foresee a more moderate outlook for the medium term in light of the weakening rupiah, declining foreign currency reserves, the growing current account and trade deficits and continuous pressures on the national budget due to high fuel subsidies.
